Despite the discussion happening in Washington, D.C. about the equality of the LGBTQIAP+ community, many LGBTQIAP+ Americans continue to face challenges every single day, such as harassment, discrimination, bullying, violence. When the Supreme Court ruled marriage equality as a right in 2015, we openly celebrated. But we knew the fight was not over. Following that victory, the Supreme Court also ruled that LGBTQ+ workers are protected from workplace discrimination, but the community as a whole is still under threat to this very day.

We at Personal Evolution and Fishtown Wellness Center strongly oppose all effort, regardless of the source—citizen or government—that would limit or deny the equality and civil rights of those within the LGBTQIAP+ community. We work to dismantle systems of oppression that marginalize and target gender expansive and trans folx, particularly within mental and behavioral health.
